SeabrookIslandBikes.com provides Seabrook Island bike rentals delivered to your vacation home or villa, with convenient pickup at the end of your stay. Because most orders on our site are rental reservations (a service) rather than shipped retail goods, our refund and return rules are a little different from a traditional online store.

This page explains how refunds work for bike rental bookings (adult cruisers, kids bikes, trailers, and add-ons like baby seats), what to do if you need to change plans, and how we handle issues like sizing, maintenance, or a bike that doesn’t ride the way it should. Our goal is simple: fair policies, clear communication, and hassle-free rentals.

Important: Rental bikes are used on beach roads and paved paths, so light sand, normal wear, and routine cleaning are expected. However, damage from misuse, loss, or theft may result in additional charges based on repair or replacement cost.

Refunds

When a refund is approved, we will confirm by email and process the credit back to the original payment method used at checkout. Refund timing can vary by bank and card issuer, but most customers see the credit post within 5–10 business days after processing.

If your plans change, the best way to protect your refund eligibility is to contact us as soon as possible before your scheduled delivery. Because we provide delivery and pickup across Seabrook Island, last-minute cancellations can be difficult to refill and may include non-refundable service costs.

Exchanges

Because we provide rentals, an “exchange” usually means a bike swap — for example, switching sizes, changing a kids bike, or swapping an add-on like a trailer or baby seat (subject to availability). If you feel a bike is not the right fit, contact us as soon as possible after delivery so we can recommend the best option and schedule a swap.

We only replace equipment at no cost when there is a verified defect or mechanical problem that is not caused by misuse. If a replacement is needed, we will prioritize a fast solution so you can get back to enjoying Seabrook Island.

Gifts

If a reservation was purchased as a gift (or if gift cards are offered), the easiest option is usually to reschedule the rental dates to match the recipient’s trip. If a gift card is issued, it will typically be delivered electronically and can be applied toward any eligible Seabrook Island bike rental.

If the gift giver booked a rental reservation under their own name, we may need to verify the booking details before making changes. Please contact us so we can help adjust the reservation quickly and correctly.

Delivery, Pickup & Returns (No Shipping Required)

We provide free delivery and pickup on Seabrook Island for rental bikes and add-ons. There is usually nothing to “return” by mail — we schedule pickup at the end of your rental and collect the bikes from your delivery location.

Please keep bikes and accessories in a secure location when not in use. If your group checks out early or you need to adjust pickup timing, notify us as soon as possible so we can coordinate an updated route. Unscheduled pickups may not be available immediately during peak weeks.

If your order includes any non-rental retail items (when available), return eligibility and shipping instructions will be provided on the product page and/or at checkout. Shipping costs (if charged) are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
